Samer Al-Azem
President
Samer Al-Azem was born in Lebanon, raised in Kuwait, and educated in England and the United States. Samer received his J.D. in December 1994 from the University of Houston, having earlier received both a Master of Engineering degree and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1991 and 1989 respectively. Samer’s 20+ years of work experience include working for Schlumberger as a Measurement While Drilling (MWD) engineer, serving as inhouse counsel for a world-wide engineering concern and subsequently as general counsel for an international Oil & Gas services company, and practicing in the Intellectual Property field as a named partner at Matthews, Lawson, Bowick & Al-Azem.
In 2011, having spent several years working with Pressurized Welding Enclosures, Samer founded PetroHab, LLC, a Hot-Work Safety Enclosures company headquartered in Houston, Texas. He has served on the Board of Directors of several charitable organizations and continues to work with Tau Beta Pi, an Engineering Honor Society into which he was inducted in 1990.
Bo Andersen
Vice President
Bo Andersen joined PetroHab in April 2011. Bo brings over 25 years of international management experience to the PetroHab team. Mr. Andersen also has the responsibility of International Relations & Operations, including sales, manufacturing and distribution.
Bo has served as CTO of several large ISP companies in Europe and as Product Manager of Innovative Solutions for T-Systems, Gmbh. Bo has also served as CEO of Andersen Solutions, Inc., a company providing strategic and IT Consulting and Management. In addition to internal managerial tasks, he also serves as a brain storming partner. Bo has an extensive international knowledge and experience in Internet, Telco and mobile industries.
Karyn Y. Andersen
CFO
Karyn Andersen joined PetroHab in June 2011. Karyn was appointed as Chief Financial Officer in February 2012. Karyn brings 20 years of experience of financial and business management experience and expertise. As CFO, Karyn provides all financial aspects of the business, including accounting practices, budgeting, ongoing cash flow projects, financial analysis, monitoring of financial performance. Additionally, Karyn manages the Human Resources Department.
Prior to joining PetroHab, Karyn has held various positions including Office & Business Management, Accounting Management, Project Management, Human Resource Management, and Intellectual Property Paralegal. Karyn has worked in a myriad of industries, including legal, construction, manufacturing, restaurant management, and fitness and health.
